Heat- and cold-resistant stainless steel gastro bins
One of the obvious advantages of stainless steel over plastic is its resistance to heat. While some plastic gastronorm bins can withstand up to 190˚C, stainless steel can be heated to 280˚C and above. It can also withstand freezing temperatures.
Heavy-duty stainless steel tub
Stainless steel is also a sturdy, stable product. It's designed to last a lifetime, and in most cases it will. It's also corrosion-resistant, so no matter how many times your stainless steel gn tub is put through the dishwasher, they'll keep their appearance.
18/10 stainless steel gn trays easy to store and clean
Stainless steel gn trays are stackable, just like plastic, and are also fairly indestructible. The only thing you can't do with stainless steel is put it in the microwave. In addition to its thermal properties, stainless steel also has the advantage of being very easy to clean. What's more, stainless steel is rust-proof, unbreakable and dishwasher-safe. Gastroland also offers stainless steel gastro trays with matching lids and handles.
Durability of stainless steel gastro trays
Gastroland's stainless steel gn bins offer a unique level of durability. They are made from 0.8 mm thick 18/10 stainless steel and undergo a special annealing process. This means they are overheated during the production process, making the bins, overall, much stronger. As a result, they do not warp easily when used in high-temperature furnaces, a common problem. They are available in several depths, including 20 mm, 40 mm, 65 mm, 55mm 100 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm.
So, while plastic and stainless steel gastronorm trays have obvious advantages, it all depends on the type of food you're serving and how you're serving it. Like most kitchens, you'll probably prefer a combination of the two.
